§ Mr. John Patten[pursuant to his reply, 21 July 1982, c.193]: The numbers of civil servants employed in the Northern Ireland Office, which include members of the Home and Northern Ireland Civil Services, are given in the following table. Pay scales for the Home Civil Service are given in the annexes to paragraph 1050 of the Civil Service pay and conditions of service code, a copy of which is in the main Library. Lists of the numbers of civil servants employed in the Northern Ireland Departments, by grade and Department, have also been placed in the main Library, together with pay scales.
