§ Mr. Alexander FletcherWe have expanded the community enterprise programme this year and introduced new schemes to open up more opportunities for voluntary work by the long-term unemployed. As announced by my right hon. Friend the Chancellor of the Exchequer in the Budget, the Manpower Services Commission has been asked to work up a major new scheme for the long-term unemployed on projects of community benefit.
