§ Mr. EyreThe provisions and operating of public weighbridges is the responsibility of local authorities. I understand that it is possible to measure axle weights on the type of equipment provided at most public weighbridges, even though the results may not always be quite as accurate as weighing a vehicle on an axle weighbridge of the type used by the enforcement authorities.
