§ 60. Mr. John Townendasked the Secretary of State for Industry if he will make a statement on the recent announcement by Nissan that it is not proceeding at this time with the building of a motor manufacturing plant in the United Kingdom.
§ Mr. ButcherI understand that Nissan is still considering the project. Representatives of the company will be meeting my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State later this month. My right hon. Friend will make a statement at the appropriate time.
