§ 25. Mr. David Atkinsonasked the Minister for Trade when he plans to announce the details of his proposals to amend the Development of Tourism Act 1969.
§ Mr. SproatI have no plans to do so at present but my hon. Friend will know that I recently decided that grants under section 4 of the Development of Tourism Act 1969 should no longer be tied to assisted areas. This move has been widely welcomed. I am also conducting a radical and comprehensive review of the way in which we handle tourism in Great Britain.
