§ Mrs. Renée Shortasked the Secretary of State for Transport (1) what steps he is taking to encourage local authorities to provide cycle lanes and more facilities for cyclists;
(2) how many miles of cycle lanes were provided by each local authority at the latest available date;
(3) what financial help he is prepared to offer to local authorities which wish to spend more on cycle lanes and providing facilities for cyclists.
