§ Mr. Harold Walkerasked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food (1) if, prior to the reply of Monday 5 July, Official Report, c. 6, to the right hon. Member for Doncaster, stating that the Minister was satisfied with the existing voluntary arrangements for the determination of public house rents, he consulted the National Union of Licensed Victuallers;
(2) when the voluntary code of practice which determines rents and leases for public houses, referred to in his reply to the right hon. Member for Doncaster on 5 July, Official Report, c. 6, was agreed by the National Union of Licensed Victuallers; and whether it still has the agreement of that organisation.

§ Mrs. FennerThe voluntary code of practice on tenants security was drawn up and agreed by the Brewers Society and the National Union of Licensed Victuallers some years ago. It was last revised in May 1981, and I understand that guidelines for the arbitration procedures are currently under discussion.
In the light of consultations with them, I can confirm that both parties support the current arrangements for dealing with cases of dispute between landlord and tenant.
