§ Mr. Alexander FletcherSince 1 January 1975, 13 offers of selective financial assistance under section 7 of the Industry Act 1972 have been made by my Department to companies in the carpet industry in Scotland. The total value of the assistance offered was £2.4 million, of which 94 per cent. was by grant and the rest by loan.
