HC Deb 14 July 1982 vol 27 c405W
Mr. Knox

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services what was the average number of treatment visits for full-time dental officers in the school dental service in the most recent year for which figures are available; and what was the comparable figure for the area covered by the Staffordshire health authority.

Mr. Geoffrey Finsberg

The average number of treatment visits per full-time dental officer in the school dental service in England in 1980 was 2,574. The comparable figure for the area of the former Staffordshire area health authority was 2,683.

The dental officers concerned spent some of their time treating patients other than in the school dental service.
