§ Mr. McQuarrieasked the Secretary of State for Scotland when he expects to announce the names of the persons who will form the board of directors of the new Peterhead Bay (Management) Co. Ltd.; and if it is his intention to alter the title of the new organisation.
§ Mr. Alexander FletcherThe new harbour authority for Peterhead Bay harbour is to be established by an order made under the Harbours (Scotland) Act 1982. The new authority will be an independent trust and its title, which has yet to be decided, will reflect its status while avoiding confusion with the adjacent Fishery Harbour Trust. Appointments to the new body will be announced after the order is made, I hope before the end of this year. Thereafter, the Peterhead Bay (Management) Co. Ltd. will be wound up.
