§ Mr. Alexander FletcherThe scheme for the employment of additional teachers in schools serving urban areas of deprivation will continue in 1982–83, and additional funds are being made available to Strathclyde regional council under this scheme to support some of the additional teaching posts which were previously funded under the urban programme; as a result some 630 teachers who would otherwise be unemployed are in employment.
