§ Mrs. Dunwoodyasked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will ensure that sufficient funds are made available to the Whitley Council (Management), to ensure that hospital pharmacists are paid for out-of-hours work at a rate reflecting their status in relation to other Health Service workers and in particular to pharmacy technicians.
§ Mr. Kenneth ClarkeWe have already done so. In particular, the resources we have now made available for improvements in pay and conditions of service for hospital pharmacists include an element of additional funding towards the introduction of an emergency duty agreement.
