§ Mr. Alison[pursuant to his reply, 5 July 1982, c. 16]: The following table expresses the numbers employed in the textile industry as percentages of the total numbers employed in all industries and services at June 1961, June 138W 1971 and June 1978, the latest date for which the information is available. The standard regions of the North, the North-West and Yorkshire and Humberside have been combined to provide information for the north of England.
