§ 52. Mr. Marlowasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if he will oppose in the Council of Ministers the granting of any further funds to the European Assembly until such time as an audit investigation into recent financial irregularities has taken place.
§ Mr. HurdNo. The European Community Court of Auditors has already conducted an investigation and the President of the Parliament has made clear his intention to correct the irregularities which that investigation has identified.
