§ Mr. McMahonasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will consider the transfer of Mr. Paul Carberry, No. 347, Her Majesty's prison Aylesbury, to one of Her Majesty's prisons in Scotland, owing to the serious ill health of one of his parents.
§ Mr. MayhewUnder the Criminal Justice Act 1961 such a transfer could be arranged only on the application of the inmate concerned. Mr. Carberry is aware of this but has not asked for a transfer. If he were to make an application it would be carefully considered in consultation with the Scottish Home and Health Department.
