Member for Basildon (Mr. Proctor) on 21 May, Official Report, c. 200–1, how many of the people described in table 15 of "Control of Immigration Statistics for 1981"—those detected under the provisions of schedule 2 to the Immigration Act 1971 as having entered the United Kingdom illegally—were detected following application to the Home Office for registration or naturalisation during 1977, 1978, 1979, 1980 and 1981, respectively.
