HC Deb 06 July 1982 vol 27 c59W
Sir John Biggs-Davison

asked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland what progress has been made in the sale of Northern Ireland Housing Executive dwellings.

Mr. David Mitchell

This is a matter for the Northern Ireland Housing Executive, but I understand from the chairman that at 18 June 1982 about 35,800 applications to purchase had been received: some 10,400 sales have been completed and 15,500 formal offers accepted by tenants. New applications to purchase are being received at the rate of about 100 per week.
