§ Mr. MayhewNumbers of fires attended by local authority fire brigades analysed by location are published annually in "Fire Statistics United Kingdom", copies of which are in the Library of the House. Table 24 of the most recent issue, for 1980, shows numbers of fires and fire casualties in different types of indoor premises. Information for periods other than calendar years could be provided only at disproportionate cost. Information is not available separately on fires in tenement dwellings as opposed to other multiple occupancy dwellings.
