Mr. Bakerasked the Minister for Trade, if he plans to introduce legislation to implement the proposals of the Report of the Review Committee 'Insolvency Law and Practice', Cmnd. 8558.
§ Dr. VaughanI have not completed my consideration of the report of the Cork committee recommendations; these are substantial and comprehensive and require the fullest and most careful consideration. The report raises issues of wide commercial and financial importance; officials will be holding full consultations with the representative bodies concerned before decisions on implementation are taken. The consultations have now started, following the publication of the report on 9 June 1982.
