§ Mr Heddleasked the Secretary of State for Trade if he will seek to amend section 27 of the Hire Purchase Act 1964 in order to extend its protection to a private purchaser who innocently buys a motor vehicle subject to a leasing agreement and is then required to return it to a finance company.
§ Mrs. Sally OppenheimI sympathise very much and share my hon. Friend's concern about this apparantly anomalous situation. I am giving urgent consideration to the matter.
