§ Mr. Nicholas Wintertonasked the Secretary of State for Industry what effect he estimates that the new General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade multi-fibre arangement will have on the prospects for the British textiles and clothing industry.
§ Mr. MacGregorIt is too early to make any such estimate. The Community's bilateral agreements to implement the new multi-fibre arrangement will be negotiated with our suppliers during the course of this year.
