§ Mr. Geoffrey FinsbergTen of the 109 (9 per cent) English social services authorities provided home help 285W services at this level in September 1980. For all authorities to reach this level would require approximately double the present net expenditure on the home help service, the provisional cost of which was £187 million in 1980–81.
