§ Mr. RidleyOn the basis of 1981–82 levels of unemployment, income, benefits, tax rates and so on the latest estimate of the yield would be of the order of £300 million in 1982–83—assuming that the benefits are brought into tax on 5 July 1982—and of the order of £475 million in a full year.
