Member for Antrim, North (Rev. Ian Paisley); and whether his Department made representations on this matter.
§ Mr. Humphrey AtkinsOur embassy in Washington and the State Department were in touch about the visit that the hon. Member for Antrim, North (Rev. Ian Paisley) had proposed to make to the United States of America. The State Department was made aware that the hon. Member is an elected Member of this House and of the European Parliament. The decision whether or not to allow him entry to the United States of America was a matter for the American Government.
