§ Mr. HurdOur high commisson in New Delhi, our embassy in Islamabad and the consular department of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office have done what they can to help during the prolonged and thorough search for Miss McDonald conducted by the Indian authorities, whose responsibility it remains. This help has included the frequent passing of messages and a visit by a consular official to Srinagar.
