§ Mr. Arthur Lewisasked the Secretary of State for Social Services whether his attention has been drawn to the remarks and recommendations of the coroner, Dr. Douglas Chambers, at the inquest on the late Phillip Cohen held at St. Pancras on Friday 11 December 1981; and whether he will discuss with the appropriate authorities the implementation of these recommendations.

I expect the area health authority to follow established procedures for investigating such incidents, to consider carefully the coroner's recommendations, and to take all reasonable measures to avoid any recurrence of such cases.
