§ Mr. Pavittasked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will make a statement about the refusal by the leaders of general practitioners to co-operate with the top level scrutiny of family practitioner committees being conducted by his Department.
§ Dr. VaughanWhen it was informed of the proposed study of FPC procedures, the general medical services committee of the British Medical Association welcomed it and promised its co-operation. The difficulties which led it later to withdraw its support did not relate to the principle of carrying out the study. These difficulties have now been removed and work on the study will very shortly be resumed.
