asked the Attorney-General if he will give for each year since 1976 (a) the number and proportion of rape trials in which there was an application by the defending counsel to introduce evidence about the complainant's sexual history and (b) the number and proportion of rape trials where the judge accepted such an application.

asked the Attorney-General if he will list the organisations which have made representations to him since the beginning of the year regarding the law on rape or its application; and if he will give the number of letters received by his Department from individuals making representations on the same subject.

Since 1 January 1982 no representations have been made to me by any organisation regarding the law of rape or its application. My Department has received four letters from individuals.
