§ Mr. Canavanasked the Secretary of State for Defence what is the policy of his Department on giving paid leave of absence to members of the Armed Forces to enable them to take part in activities which are not directly related to the work of the Ministry of Defence.
§ Mr. WigginSpecial leave with pay would be approved in these circumstances only if it was considered to be to the benefit of the individual and to the ultimate good of the Service.
