§ Mr. Alexander FletcherHitherto my Department has normally offered grants to students who have had to repeat up to a year of the course, but they are then warned that they will not be given assistance to cover any further repeat periods of study in their current course. It is therefore unusual for such students to apply for a grant to undertake another repeat year; and no information is therefore available about the number of students who are repeating a year without the help of a grant.
