§ Mr. Wm. Rossasked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland if he is satisfied that the extent of the sea areas adjacent to the mouths of rivers in Northern Ireland in which netting of migratory fish is prohibitied is sufficient to afford the necessary degree of protection to such fish.
§ Mr. Adam ButlerI am satisfied that the existing statutory prohibitions on the use of nets for salmon fishing in areas adjacent to river mouths are adequate. Provision exists for the imposition of additional prohibitions by means of statutory rules where these are considered necessary.
