§ Mr. John Fraserasked the Secretary of State for Trade if he will request the Director General of Fair Trading to promulgate a code of conduct for the marketing of newspapers through games of chance.
§ Mr. EyreThe Director General, of course, has a duty to encourage trade associations to establish codes of practice in the interests of consumers. I shall be glad to bring the hon. Gentleman's suggestion to his attention so that he can consider whether it would be appropriate for him to take any action.
