HC Deb 18 February 1982 vol 18 c210W
Mr. Soley

asked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland how many persons under school leaving age were detained for questioning under the Emergency Provisions Act and the Prevention of Terrorism Act in Northern Ireland during 1981.

Mr. Prior

The information is not readily available in the form requested. During 1981, however, a total of 41 persons under 17 years of age were detained for questioning by the police under the Northern Ireland (Emergency Provisions) Act 1978 and the Prevention of Terrorism (Temporary Provisions) Act 1976.
