§ Mr. Bruce-GardyneValue added tax has been chargeable on the net takings of all gaming machines since 1975. I assume that the hon. Member refers to the possible introduction of an ad valorem form of duty. On this many representations have been received from or on behalf of a wide variety of organisations. These include sports bodies and clubs, but a list of those in this category could be compiled only at disproportionate cost.
