§ 41. Mr. Newensasked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will restore housing subsidies and take other steps to encourage local authorities to increase the number of houses available to let to applicants on council house waiting lists who cannot afford to buy.
§ Mr. StanleyHousing subsidies, including rent rebates and rate fund contributions to housing revenue accounts, are estimated to total some £1,700 million in the current year. My right hon.
