§ 49. Mr. Farrasked the Secretary of State for Transport if, further to the answer of 25 January to the hon. Member for Pontypridd (Mr. John) he will now collect statistics on the number of local authorities providing some form of concessionary travel scheme for the elderly and disabled.
§ Mr. Kenneth ClarkeI do not believe that we would be justified in collecting regular statistics on these schemes, bearing in mind the Government policy of keeping demands for statistical information from local authorities to the minimum.
