  1. 1. The main items included are Regional Development Grants, Selective Financial Assistance under Section 7 of the Industry Act 1972, and expenditure on land and factory buildings. Also included are assistance to tourism under the Development of Tourism Act, 1969, Local Employment Act assistance, Regional Employment Premium, Investment Grant differential (estimated), assistance by the Highland and Islands Development Baird, and the differential element in Small Firms Employment Subsidy. Payments to nationalised industries under these headings are also included.
