§ Mr. John Garrettasked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will publish in the Official Report the indicators of performance in the delivery of health services which his Department is producing for a pilot region of the National Health Service, referred to in a written answer to the right hon. Member for Taunton (Mr. du Cann) on 22 January, Official Report, column 211; and if he will publish such indicators for all Health Service regions for 1982–83.
§ Mr. Geoffrey FinsbergMy right hon. Friend will publish the list of indicators as soon as it has been settled. This is a pilot study, and our ideas are still very provisional. We shall consider what data for 1982–83 to publish when testing is further advanced, and it is clearer which indicators have value as a means of indentifying standards or performance in the use of resources which warrant closer scrutiny.
