§ Q28. Sir David Priceasked the Prime Minister what further progress the Government intend to make in the provision for, and the care of, the disabled, consequent upon their achievements in the International Year of Disabled People.
§ The Prime MinisterThe international year was primarily an opportunity to focus upon and to reinforce existing programmes in support of disabled people. My hon. Friend the Minister with responsibility for the disabled intends to publish a report shortly setting out not only what was achieved during the year but also the range of continuing activities designed to further its aims.
