§ Mr. Cryerasked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland which United States firms have been approached by the Northern Ireland Development Agency since 1977 with a view to those firms establishing factories in Northern Ireland.
§ Mr. Adam ButlerThe Northern Ireland Development Agency is not responsible for approaching companies to invite their interest in locating in Northern Ireland. This function rests with the Department of Commerce. However, I regret that it is not possible to provide a list of firms approached since this would be a breach of commercial confidentiality and would in any case involve disproportionate effort.
