§ Mr. RifkindThe current examination by the Scottish Law Commission of the Law of evidence includes consideration of relevant aspects of evidence in cases of rape. A separate research study into sexual assaults, including rape, is being conducted by the Scottish Home and Health Department. My right hon. Friend will review the law of rape in the light of these studies.
