§ Mr. Pawseyasked the Secretary of State for Education and Science what is his policy towards the provision or payment of school transport for children who attend their nearest appropriate denominational school, or where, under section 6 of the Education Act 1980, a parent chooses a school farther than his nearest one; and whether he has issued any guidelines to local authorities in connection with the provision or withdrawal of well established arrangements for free or assisted school transport.
