§ Mr. William SheltonMy right hon. Friend has just received formally from the National Institute of Adult Education the report of the adult literacy and basic skills unit for the first year of the three year term for which it was initially set up in 1980. He shall be considering its future after 1983 in the light of its work and the extent and nature of unmet needs in this important field.
