HC Deb 04 February 1982 vol 17 c177W
Mr. Onslow

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment what further action he is taking to ensure proper application of the Reservoirs (Safety Provisions) Act 1930.

Mr. Giles Shaw

I shall be issuing a circular letter and questionnaire on the subject to local authorities tomorrow. I have deposited a copy in the Libraries of both Houses.

As soon as local authorities have responded fully to the questionnaire, I shall hope to be able to make a better general assessment of the position. It remains my view, however, that there is no cause for concern on matters of reservoir safety.
