§ Mr. AlisonA small number of cases of alleged poor treatment of launderette workers has been drawn to my attention.
My right hon. Friend is currently considering the report by the Advisory, Conciliation and Arbitration Service, "The Laundry Wages Council", which dealt with the pay and conditions of launderette workers and will be making decisions on the recommendations in the report as soon as possible. Representations about the report and its recommendations and about the position of launderette workers will be taken into account in reaching decisions.
