What instructions have been given to Home Office presenting officers on whether or not they should seek to rely on age estimates based on bone X-rays when arguing for the dismissal of the appeals of children before the immigration appellate authorities.
§ Lord BelsteadThe advice which has been given to Home Office presenting officers, like that given to entry clearance officers, is to adduce evidence of age based on bone X-rays only where there is other evidence of age based on a clinical examination of the physical characteristics of the individual.
