§ Mr. Chapmanasked the Secretary of State for the Environment if it is his intention to seek to amend section 39 of the General Rate Act 1967 in the light of the Court of Appeal decision of 6 December in Broxtowe borough council v. Birch and others with regard to the rating or exemption from rating of religious meeting places.
