§ Dr. VaughanAll electric plugs for domestic use must comply with the requirements of the Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 1975 and 1976. I am, however, concerned about the numbers of unsafe plugs finding their way on to the market and am consulting with British manufacturers on the prospect of introducing safety regulations that would require independent prior approval for all plugs before they could be sold.
