§ Mr. Colvinasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs whether representations have 611W been made by Her Majesty's Government to the new Soviet leadership for the release of Rudolph Hess from Spandau prison.
§ Mr. HurdI made representations to the Soviet ambassador in favour of the release of Rudolph Hess on 23 June this year. There has been no sign of any change in the Soviet attitude. We shall none the less continue to consider in the light of developments how best to press the case for Hess's release.
