§ Mr. Deakinsasked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food if he will propose measures to the Council of Agriculture Ministers when it meets to decide producer prices for 1983–84 to reduce the prices to the United Kingdom consumer where there is surplus production of a commodity.
§ Mr. Peter WalkerWhen the Council meets to consider proposals from the Commission for agricultural prices and related measures for 1983–84, I shall be pressing for restraint on prices for products in structural surplus and for other measures of benefit to the United Kingdom consumer.
